Back to School 2015

Hello Folks,


Welcome back to another educational year at Colton-Pierrepont Central school.  Our custodial staff has worked hard setting the gold standard for building maintenance to create a safe, clean learning environment.  At the same time teachers have been working diligently over the summer analyzing data, preparing lessons, creating activities, and adapting curriculum for the upcoming school year.


As mentioned last year, CPCS continues to be an educational leader in our region and the people connected to our school community are the main reason for this success. We keep our focus on the district mission and rework the school vision to drive us forward in a positive direction.


As an administrative team we thank you for continuing to support our most important investment, our students.  Clearly our communities have made education a priority.


Once again CPCS is offering various orientation sessions during the month of August and September. This will allow students and parents the opportunity to acclimate themselves with grade level expectations and technology distribution for a variety of areas.  Please refer to the following list of events.  You will also see these listed on the school calendar:  



  • August 12, 2015 6:00pm Mandatory Pre-Season Athletic Meeting

  • August 17, 2015 Varsity Soccer Practice Day 1

  • August 24, 2015 Modified Soccer Practice Day 1

  • August 25, 2015 5:30pm-6:30pm 7th Grade Orientation

  • August 25, 2015 6:30pm-7:30pm  Pre-Kindergarten Information Night

  • September 1, 2015 6:00pm-7:00pm Kindergarten Picnic

  • September 2, 2015 5:00pm-6:00pm 7th and 8th Grade Laptop Distribution

  • September 2, 2015 6:00pm-7:00pm 9th and 10th Grade Laptop Distribution

  • September 2, 2015 7:00pm 11th and 12th Grade Laptop Distribution

  • September 9, 2015 6:00 pm  Open House

  • September 9, 2015 7:00pm-8:00pm 5th & 6th Grade Laptop Distribution
