Just a reminder that an adult must be visible before any student in grades PK-6 will dropped off by the bus.

Students are NOT permitted to be dropped off in the front of the building at arrival! There will be paving being done tomorrow on our driveway by the Town of Colton. There will be no through traffic! Thank you for dropping off out back in the north parking lot.

Our buses just pulled out. Expect your children soon. Hope everyone had a great first day!

ATTENTION Grades 7-12 Parents: Boys and Girls Modified and Girls Varsity Soccer practices have been cancelled today due to temperatures in Colton exceeding 96 degrees Real Feel during practice hours.

We’re excited to utilize Rooms for our communication this year! Please make sure to download the Colton-Pierrepont app and sign up using your email address!

Hello Colton-Pierrepont Families! We are excited to introduce Rooms, which will be our new tool for communicating between our teachers and parents this school year.
This will be a platform that will allow you to message, check their assignments and classwork, and view any important documents in your students’ classrooms.
You will receive an invitation today via text and/or email inviting you to join and associate yourself with your student. Codes to join your students’ accounts were handed out at Open House last night.

You have received or will be receiving a mailing from the school this week with our school census. We are required to complete this every two years. Please fill out this form using the link below or return the paper copy on Tuesday. Thank you for your help! https://forms.gle/Dy379dnvsoCZ8gYw6

Totes for the Teen Guys
For the fourth year in a row, Ashley McKinley, a senior at Colton-Pierrepont Central School, has chosen to help children in foster care in St. Lawrence County. This summer her focus was on teenage boys. Ashley purchased 30 cinch sacks for her “Totes for the Teen Guys” service project. The bags were filled with self-care items such as shampoo, face wash, body wash, antiperspirant, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, towels, a water bottle, and a beanie. Ashley asked neighbors, teachers, and family members to each sponsor a teenage boy in order to shop locally to buy the products. Each bag also has a note from Ashley encouraging the boys to have a good year and to celebrate their perseverance. For the project Ashley said, “I would like every teenage boy in foster care to feel he has the same products you and I buy to feel clean and ready to face the day.”

The mandatory Athletic Meeting and Laptop Meeting for athletes in grades 7-12 will be held this evening, 8/16/23 in the auditorium.
The Laptop meeting starts at 5:30PM. Families will need to complete paperwork and pay for laptop insurance prior to the meeting. The cost is $10 per students or $25 for a family of 3 or more. Cash or check accepted with checks payable to CPCS. The Athletic meeting will follow the Laptop meeting.

Please check your email for information on upcoming events.

Unfortunately the Colton Summer Soccer end of the year party for tonight is postponed to August 26th at 7pm due to the weather forecast!

Please share this information with your Senior!
Thanks!
