The Colton-Pierrepont Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Brady as interim superintendent, effective July 28, 2025.
Brady, who retired as superintendent of Massena Central School District in 2023, brings more than 35 years of experience in education and leadership to his new role. He steps into the position following the departure of Jim Nee, who has served as superintendent at Colton-Pierrepont since 2018. Nee will begin his new role as deputy superintendent at St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES on August 4, 2025.
“I’m honored to join the Colton-Pierrepont community and support the district during this transition,” said Brady. “I look forward to working closely with the Board of Education, staff, students, and families to continue the district’s tradition of excellence and ensure a smooth start to the school year.”
Brady has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles throughout his career, including superintendent positions at both Massena and Potsdam school districts. He also held roles as a junior high principal, assistant high school principal, and summer school teacher in Massena. Earlier in his career, he taught high school social studies at Potsdam for 12 years.
The district extends its sincere gratitude to Nee for his years of dedicated service and leadership and warmly welcomes Brady as he begins this important interim role.
The Colton-Pierrepont Board of Education has also announced that it is actively seeking a permanent superintendent and will keep the community informed as the search process moves forward.

Elementary summer school & the swim program at Postwood start on Monday. Bus times have been emailed to families. FREE breakfast (8-9AM) & lunch (11-12PM) start on Monday too! OPEN TO ALL! There is no school, no meals, & no swimming on Thursday and Friday due to the holiday weekend.
